Since April 2009 a minitrip evoking Memoria Viva abord a refurbished steam train, refurbished by able engineers of the Minaz (Ministry of Sugar). Operating weekends at 9 a.m. for a return trip to Santo Tomas 8 km north on the road to Moron passing by the famous Trocha towers.

NEW VIAZUL BUS ROUTE, EL "CIRCUITO NORTE" With this new circuit starting and ending in Trinidad, Viazul for the first time serves Moron, Remedios, Caibarien and Camajuani. With daily departures, the circuit allows travellers to discover other parts of the central region to and from eight towns — with affordable fares and making it easy to plan an itinerary. CIRCUITO NORTE leaves Trinidad at 7 am and arrives Cienfuegos 08h20 6cuc, Santa Clara 09h45 8cuc, Camajuani 10h15 11cuc, Remedios 10h40 14cuc, Caibarien (Cayo Santa Maria) 10h50 14cuc, Mayajigua (San José del Lago and its spa-like hotel) 11h30 18cuc, arrives here in Moron at 12h35 for a per-person fare of 21cuc, and ends the circuit in Ciego de Avila at 13h15 for a fare of 24cuc pp from Trinidad. Above shows arrival times (departures are 5-10 mins. later) and pp fares from Trinidad.		From Ciego de Avila, Circuito Norte returns to Trinidad leaving at 14h00 for Moron from where it goes at 14h50 to Mayajigua, then Caibarien, then Remedios leaving at 16h35 to Camajuani, then on to Santa Clara leaving at 17h45 to Cienfuegos and ends the day in Trinidad arriving at 20h15 SAMPLE FARES on return trip : Moron-Santa Clara 15cuc; rates are based on distance and go from 7cuc to 9, 10, 13, 15, 19 and 24cuc per person — on the same scale as from Trinidad.
