Itinerary from Capitolio here.

" Our casa is on the ground floor of the building with the living room, dining room, kitchen, the owners' bedroom, the bathroom and vanity toilet, and a portal cum garden.

Upstairs are the two rented bedrooms : Air-conditioned with private shower, telephone, TV and accessible by the stairs and an enclosed naturally-lit space overlooking avenida 20 de Mayo ; one br has twin beds, the other a double.

"We offer meal service (not included in room rates) at the request of customers. Breakfast costs 4 cuc : a large portion of fresh fruit, coffee with milk or fruit juice, omelet, toasts with butter and espresso.

" Our meals come in generous portions and the price depends on the menu that usually includes rice, meat, salad and main course of either chicken, pork or fish + dessert and coffee; may vary upon request. We have experience in the preparation of vegetarian dishes. French and English spoken. Laundry service. "

Zoe writes : "We ask our guests — after confirming their e-mail reservation — that they let us know of their airline, flight number and arrival time and city of origin, so that we may call the airport in case a delay occurs. With this information, we can - if they so wish - have them picked up at the airport if desired, with the usual price for the journey (25 CUC) with a taxi driver friend who will drop them off directly to our house."
"Knowing that Victor spoke French we made the leap and what a pleasure to arrive greeted by Victor who can talk to us immediately in our language. The city was explained by Victor with sketches and it seemed easier to follow than the map & guidebook. Thanks to him we were able to enjoy the city and we appreciated the clean ac bedrooms and hearty breakfasts made with attention. Victor is a perfectionist who goes to extremes to try to help travelers. "Danel C, ta 230813
"We were in Havana for 3 weeks and stayed here. They made our stay very enjoyable. They were friendly, always with a smile to help with any questions we had.

The house is beautiful, with clean and comfortable rooms, ensuite bathroom, TV and fridge. We particularly enjoyed breakfast and dinner (amazing food!).

"It was easy to get around with the help of Victor (he has a huge map), and he thought us how to take private taxis, so we could save a lot of money. "Joanne H, ta 260913
"A regular taxicab from the Capitolio to our house can cost 3 or 5 CUC; a Cocotaxi costs more. Using private transport (cars we call "almendrones") comfortable and very cheap it will not be more than 40 centavos cuc per person with a fixed route from the corner of the Capitol (Industria Street) to Plaza de la Revolucion where you disembark and then walk four blocks up to our casa.

"On foot, the most direct is to take the Monte, Reina and Carlos III (Tercero) streets all straight and turn left from Infanta to Amenidad. "
