Meal's ready ! From the dining-side bedroom, guests can see their table ready for sea delights or full breakfasts which Manolo prepares, sometimes with help from his wife Silvia.	Overlooking, on the village side, the bay of La Boca, Manolo's casa offers the best view of the sea (ie, al mar). From its balcony looking right, one can see the mountains in the back, the bay, the beach and the mouth (boca) of the Guaurabo river. With its superb view of the sea, the beach and the bay, their casa is out of the ordinary. Coming in the house : right is a small sala with rockers and tv, then the new bedroom with its private bathroom.
"5 nights at Hostal Vista el Mar was highlight of our trip." "Completely "off the grid" - no T.V. , phones or internet for me to have to deal with - pure heaven! Manolo and Sylvia made us feel so welcome in their well maintained hostal. The room was nice with A/C and a nice ensuite bathroom. Meals taken on the veranda were excellent. Fresh mangos from their tree along with so much more fresh fruit and vegetables along with fresh fish that we watched being caught daily right across the road from us. Sylvia's cooking was great and her friendly service was much appreciated. Manolo is a classic rock fan so we enjoyed listening to lots of old favorites from our past while enjoying the sunset on the wrap around veranda. We enjoyed wandering around the little village of Playa la Boca. Not much there but in the main square you can get a small cheese pizza for $1.00 CUC. If you want sit down service, pop into the Galleon Restaraunt and for $2.00 CUC they will serve you a small Hawaiian (Ham & Pineapple) or if you're a big spender you can get a Shrimp pizza for $3.00 CUC along with your ice cold Cristal or Buccaneer for $1.50 CUC." Peter H, Coldstream, BC on Trip Advisor May 2013 Although some other casas in town get email from a family or friend elsewhere in Cuba, Manolo and Silvia do not yet have email access in their casa as Etecsa and/or Cubacel has not yet wired that part of Sancti Spiritus province. Across the hallway (leading to the kitchen in back) the two original bedrooms split by their shared bathroom : only one of the two is rented at a time, unless required by a family or two couples. On the right side of the house, the more recent double-bedded room with its own ensuite (photos below). Kitchen in back is used by owners to prepare meals served on the bayview side of the veranda; the other side, - opening to an empty lot has a hammock and books. Manolo and his esposa live in their newly-built independent casita in back of the lot. House on the dining area veranda side is empty in winter. The Muñoz family from Trinidad use it in the summer.
