Like many casas in Varadero, Yosi's hides behind high fences; they got the house when Carlos' mom passed away. It was one of many built by the Duponts (of Xanadu fame) for their numerous staff. Carlos speaks English perfectly, exercises daily; Maylin jogs daily, is learning French.

Maylin and Carlos both have experience in tourism : he was a DJ and she, a receptionist; both in a Santa Clara resort; Carlos knows music from every part of the world and era and is totally nuts for the rock groups of the 80's. Ah well, nobody's perfect ; )

They live with their teenage daughter and now dedicate all their time to renting three air-conditioned bedrooms each with ventilation, two large beds and a single; one is in front opening onto patio, outdoor dining area, shower and parking; the others are in the back, reachable through a very narrow passageway - or through the backlot on the other street.

Rates: 30-35cuc per room per night; breakfasts served on the patio 3-5cuc; 8-12cuc dinners.

"The house is between the 23rd and 24th calle, so in the more “Cuban” part of Varadero, away from the big hotels, but close to all needed facilities: beach is at a mere 2 minutes walk or less, supermarket on the corner and restaurants at a walking distance. GETTING TO THE CASA
From Varadero airport :
Leaving the airport, turn left onto "Matanzas - Varadero". At the traffic lights at the entrance to the peninsula, take the left lane and cross the iron bridge, continue along the highway south to 24th Street (calle 24), turn left, proceed two blocks and turn left again to the home identified with the number 2308.

From the Varadero Viazul bus station (Calle 37 and Autopista del Sur) :
Take Highway South to the right, turn on 24th Street right again crossing two streets and turn left to the house identified with the number 2308.

From La Habana :
Cross the tunnel in Habana Vieja, take the Via Blanca highway towards Cojimar, then Playas del Este, then Matanzas and towards Varadero. Some 20ast the Varadero airport, at the traffic lights at the entrance to the peninsula, take the left lane and cross the iron bridge, continue along the highway south to 24th Street (calle 24), turn left, proceed two blocks and turn left again to the home identified with the number 2308.

From the Central or Eastern (Oriente) regions :
Drive to Cárdenas and take the Cárdenas - Varadero tunnel which gets you to the point of meeting the mainland with the peninsula. Upon arrival at the traffic lights at the entrance to the peninsula, take the left lane and cross the iron bridge, continue along the highway south to 24th Street (calle 24), turn left, proceed two blocks and turn left again to the home identified with the number 2308.
