Thanks to our host (photo below on terrace), we were able to discover new casas in the neighbourhood in March 2011 : Gustavo really knows everybody who rents in the old town !

Migadalia shown here ably assists the host in welcoming travellers from all over the planet for more than a decade.

In a remarkable yellowstone building wrapping the corner of Cuba, about 30m from Plaza Vieja, this colonial casa boasts a living room with corner windows and a rare rooftop terrace.

• Shaded patio leading to a dining room, the kitchen and a twisted staircase to the large partially-shaded and flowery rooftop terrace with its lawn chairs. Also on roof, a double-bedded room with a large private aircon modern bathroom; mini fridge, tv and a table outside. Every nook and cranny has been redone, repainted or redecorated starting late 2010 and finished in summer 2011.

• On the main floor, two bedrooms with TV, mini-bar and tiny balcony share a lovely modern bathroom.

Gustavo gets along in French, English and Russian and knows Habana culture very well, as he hosts the radio show Razones, a cultural review on Radio Coco 91.7FM, 980AM.

Rates : 30cuc per bedroom, breakfasts are 5cuc for guests sharing bedrooms.

En un edificio de piedra amarilla en la esquina de calle Cuba, a unos 30 metros de la Plaza Vieja, esta casa colonial cuenta con un salón con ventanas de esquina y una inolvidable terraza en su techo.

• Un patio con sombra que dan a un comedor, la cocina y una escalera torcida a la terraza azotea parcialmente sombreado y florido con sillas de su césped. También en el techo, un cuarto con dos camas con un gran baño privado aire acondicionado moderno, mini nevera, televisión y una mesa al aire libre.

• En la planta principal, dos dormitorios con TV, mini-bar y compartir pequeño balcón moderno cuarto de baño encantador. Gustavo se lleva en Francés, Inglés y Ruso. La cultura Habanera la conosco muy bien, como es el anfitrión del programa radiofonico Razones, una revista cultural en Radio Coco 91.7FM, 980AM.

Precios: 30cuc por habitación, los desayunos son 5cuc.

Gracias a Gustavo, podiamos encontrar muchas nuevas casas de Habana Vieja que adicionabamos en el verano 2011. De verdad, el tiene todas las informaciones utiles para ofrecer a los viajeros de disfrutar una estancia memorable en la Vieja.

Chez Nous is the only casa we know that (and every casa should) leaves notes in bedrooms (in English and French) with recommendations, ie, a rental day is from Noon to 10 the next morning; access to bedrooms is strictly limited to those who are registered in the casa; to leave valuables (airline tickets, passports, etc) in bedroom when going out; meal service times are breakfasts from 7 to 10, lunches from Noon to 1 p.m. and dinners from 7 to 8 p.m.

Gustavo seen below on the roof, surrounded by plants, is a most remarkable host and a true connoisseur of all the best spots in Vieja.
