"Casa Lilly is a marvelous Bed and Breakfast in the heart of lively Havana. This family run B&B (Casa as they are called in Cuba) started in 1994 when Cuba opened its doors to the world.
The country was going through its biggest economic crises and this was one of the few private businesses that were (and still are) allowed for Cubans to have.
Lilly and her family hosted independent travelers for American dollars, a currency that was introduced in the country around that period. With time they were able to repaint the apartment, renovate the beautiful family antique furniture and acquire the modern art that creates the Casa's charm nowadays.
Lilly comes from an artistic and professional family which comes in very handy for those curious travelers who want to learn more about Cuban culture. English, German, French and Spanish are fluently spoken."
