In a well-preserved part of Chinatown behind the Capitolio, in a stunning building from the 40s, this retired couple lives with Pilar's madre and since 2001 rent the ground floor. Below left, they occupy the mezzanine overlooking the lounge. With its own private entrance at street level (2nd photo below right), one reaches an open area including a living room with comfortable armchairs and sofa, a dining room and down the hall, a room with air conditioning, fridge, TV and private bathroom with shower. Rates: 25cuc per night (+ child in an extra bed on request); only breakfast is served at 3cuc per person; laundry service.
