Cary and Nilo have been welcoming travellers from all over the planet for over a decade. Nilo — of the close to 500 casa owners we know on the island — is by far the one with the most hospitality experience, having worked some 43 years for major Havana hotels. He knows what strings to pull to make an ordinary stay turn into a memorable estancia. The couple spends time yearly visiting family in España. Their large colonial with its lovely double-arched living room features a long pasillo along which the two double bedrooms await guests. Each of the well-decorated and compact aircon (new "split" type) bedroom has two beds (one single, one double) and great amenities and beautiful furniture and a private bathroom; hair dryer and wall safe. Breakfasts are served in the homey comedor in the back; while sharing food and meeting other travellers or friends of Cary and Nilo is a great way of discovering Havana and its gentes; laundry service. Rates : 35US$/€ per bedroom per night according to season; breakfasts are served 10€/US$. |
