Señora Mayrim is a physician, while spouse Julio handles public relations for a hotel. Their 1919 colonial-inspired casa is well appointed and tastefully decorated.
The sala (living room) with its marble columns and grand staircase show some of the pomp which original owners tried to project seeing their casa was sitting on the "calle principal" of town, commonly known as the Prado (but not as shaded as La Habana's). Both bedooms are air conditioned and well furnished, each with private bathroom and fridge. Julio speaks Italian, French and English; Mayrim speaks English. A terrace, opening onto the Padro's hustle and bustle can be used for meals or drinks. Rates : 20-25cuc per room per night breakfasts 3cuc, dinners 7-10cuc |
| - Neeks1, tripadvisor.com 05 jan 2012 My husband, 13-month old son and I have just returned today from Cuba; we had a fantastic trip. We saw the reviews for Casa Prado on Tripadvisor and in the Lonely Planet, we called to confirm the day before from Vinales in Cuba at which point we were told that there would be a room available and everything was confirmed. When we arrived in Cienfuegos the next day however, after an 8-hour bus ride we took a taxi to the house and met a lady who told us that she didn't recall the conversation and that she was full. Despite a long conversation in Spanish, she completely denied the phone reservation and went upstairs and closed the door without so much as an apology. Luckily however we went to Hostal Colonial Pepe y Isabel (also in Lonely Planet) where Pepe very kindly directed us to Casa de Miriam y Gladys who were very hospitable. MY ADVICE IS NOT TO DEAL WITH THIS CASA AND NOT TO COUNT ON VERBAL BOOKINGS as all the other houses we contacted by e-mail were fine and every other casa we reserved honoured their booking except Casa Prado. - Neeks1, tripadvisor.com 05 jan 2012 |

 CASA PRADO Julio César Fernández Reinardo y su esposa Mayrim Mayrim es una médico y Julio presenta las relaciones públicas de un hotel. Su colonial construida en 1919 está bien equipada y decorada con mucho gusto. La sala con sus columnas de mármol y escalera de honor mostran algunas de las pompas se habían declarado a lo largo de esa casa de la "Calle Principal" de Cienfuegos, conocida comúnmente como el Prado (como el de La Habana). Ambas habitaciones tienen aire acondicionado y bien amuebladas, cada una con baño privado y nevera. Caja de seguro, Julio habla Italiano, Francés e Inglés; Mayrim habla Inglés.
